Beaches In Portugal
Apart
from all of the other attractions that Portugal has to offer there is no
doubt that the fabulous beaches are at the top of the list for many people
and 'What are the best beaches in Portugal' is a question that is asked so
many times.
Two of the four sides of
Portugal are on the Atlantic Ocean and this equates to over 800 kilometres
of stunning beaches so as you can see, you will most definitely be spoilt
for choice. If you have surfing in mind then you should look no further than
the west coast where the cascading waves will keep anyone occupied for hours
on end.
The beaches on the Algarve
will meet all of your requirements and should you need a break from all of
this relaxing you will have no problem in finding plenty of other things to
keep you occupied such as the varied selection of bars, restaurants and
shops.
If your idea of the best
beaches in Portugal are centred around diving, then you should look no
further than Praia de Luz which can be found approximately five miles away
from Lagos. This is a sheltered cove which makes diving ideal for adults and
children alike and there is a small village on one side which is the ideal
place to relax after the days diving activities.

One of the most popular
beaches in Portugal can also be found near Lagos and that is the Meia Praia
which consist of over 6 miles of wonderful beaches which are very child
friendly with lots of activities for them to take part in as well as the
beach itself.
If you are looking for
something which is a little more secluded, perhaps a couple with no children
who are looking for some rest and relaxation then Praia Figueiras may well
be just the beach that you are looking for. This beach is even quiet in the
height of the summer season and the reason for that is that there are no
facilities and a 20 minute walk from the nearest village. A little bit of
effort is required to get there but it is most definitely worth it.
When looking for the best
beaches in Portugal it all depends on taste but there are so many to choose
from you are guaranteed to find something that suits you to a 'T'.
To your new life!
